Head to this retro salon-style bar for $10 manicures and martinis, edgy DJ sets and late-night dancing. Empty Bottle‘s Bruce Finkelman and Peter Toalson have partnered with Beauty Bar owner Paul Devitt to bring the concept to Chicago. Enter the bar and you’ll first pass nail technicians set up shop along two vinyl couches in the bar’s front to give $10 martini-and-a-manicure combos. A DJ booth built into a curvy wall spotted with bubble-shaped cutouts separates the bar’s two main spaces: The main room, made for lounging and sipping, and the dancefloor, a fuchsia den with a disco ball.
